Hello!
Welcome to The Epic! I am launching this blog as a manifesto for and a guide to living well. The title and motto of the blog are taken from the Epicureans, at least some of whom believed in the notion that not one minute of the future was guaranteed to them and that as a result they had the duty to live life to its fullest every moment.
I believe in discovering fun and pleasurable things wherever I find myself each day and I am told I have a knack for unearthing them. My hope is that by sharing in my pleasures and some of my ways of finding them you will begin to collect all the riches that lie in the moments of your life. They are there. Take them! All our lives should be.....Epic.

It's LOMBARDI-GRAS Time!!!
In New Orleans!! Thanks to the amazing, fantastic, incredible, odds-beating, historic SAINTS!! Champions of American Football after defeating a mastermind and an "unstoppable" offense.
These are the best potato chips anywhere, fresh from New Orleans! You can get them here.
GEAUX SAINTS!!!!
Underwriting Note: Zapps isn't paying me anything for this. I wish they were. ML

I thought so too! I got it from a Saints bumper sticker I saw somewhere, so its not an original thought...

Glad your team won! This is great for New Orleans...
Wait a second... are these "real" potato chips? They're not gonna suds up in my mouth or nuthin'? ;)
And, truthfully, about the only thing that would get me excited about a football game. Always up for planning the menu and bar for the Super Bowl party, however. But, M. Lane, I'm afraid you'll have to keep me updated as to who is up to bat and whether or not they made a basket. Wait, is that right? Well, something like that. ;)
Mon Oncle, they are VERY real. Very crisp and in a variety of fantastic flavors. Cajun crawtaters are my favorite.
And you would be a welcome guest at any Super Bowl party, I'll give you news updates and you bring the CUPCAKES!!
Do try the chips though. They are great.
