Personal Health Note: I have not been well for several weeks and my writing and other activities have necessarily been limited. Thankfully I am feeling better now and I have several new posts in the works. Thanks to all who sent "get well" thoughts. ML
Hello!
Welcome to The Epic! I am launching this blog as a manifesto for and a guide to living well. The title and motto of the blog are taken from the Epicureans, at least some of whom believed in the notion that not one minute of the future was guaranteed to them and that as a result they had the duty to live life to its fullest every moment.
I believe in discovering fun and pleasurable things wherever I find myself each day and I am told I have a knack for unearthing them. My hope is that by sharing in my pleasures and some of my ways of finding them you will begin to collect all the riches that lie in the moments of your life. They are there. Take them! All our lives should be.....Epic.

Glad to hear your feeling better.
I'm guessing this was taken a little earlier in the evening, as it's not that fuzzy. The later picture must be the good one.
Glad to have you back...hope the mend is long lasting....
Welcome back, I hope you have a quick recovery. Happy to see
a post from The Epic.
Glad you're on the mend and made it safely out of the hammock.
Hey, Mister. Glad that things are on the upswing for you. I can relate in some ways. Especially to this particular photo choice given the past weekend. Enough said. ;)
Get well, be well. :)
Thanks everyone. Turling, its fuzzy enough. Trust me. The others could not be identified as a bar!
MLS, man I do also. I want to hear more about your fighter!
Barbara, thanks!
Easy, I'm glad it was not my 1/2 chow 1/2 aussie shep Skippy that jumped in the hammock!!
Mon Oncle, LOL. A great motto for all Epics, no?

Hi Barbara! That is a great blog and I am adding it to my list of Epic Blogs. I fixed my email address, I cannot believe that I had it wrong. Thanks for pointing it out.
